The following terms apply to bookings of the Podcast Room and should be read alongside Imago Venues’ general terms and conditions.
Use of Equipment
- The Podcast Room and all equipment are provided for use during the booked session only.
- Users are responsible for operating the equipment correctly unless an in house technician or specialist technical support has been booked.
- Any damage caused to equipment, furnishings or the room as a result of misuse or negligence may be chargeable to the hirer.
Recording, Storage and Data
- Imago Venues does not store, retain or back up any audio or video recordings made in the Podcast Room.
- Users must provide their own external hard drive or storage device to take recordings away at the end of the session.
- Imago Venues accepts no responsibility for the loss, corruption or quality of recorded content once recording has ended or files have been transferred.
Content Responsibility and Reputation
- Responsibility for all recorded content, including compliance with copyright, data protection, consent and any applicable regulations, rests entirely with the user.
- Content must not be defamatory, offensive, misleading or otherwise harmful to the reputation of Imago Venues, Loughborough University, or any associated partners.
- Imago Venues reserves the right to terminate a session or refuse future bookings where content is deemed to pose a reputational risk.
- Imago Venues does not review, edit or approve recorded content and accepts no liability for how recordings are used or distributed.
Technical Performance
- While Imago Venues makes every effort to ensure equipment is maintained and operational, uninterrupted operation or compatibility with users’ own devices cannot be guaranteed.
- In the event of a technical issue, liability is limited to the hire fees paid for the affected session.
Health, Safety and Conduct
- Users must comply with all health, safety and operational instructions provided on site.
- Imago Venues reserves the right to require users to leave the premises or end a session if conduct is considered unsafe, inappropriate or disruptive.
Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Imago Venues shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from use of the Podcast Room, including (without limitation) loss of content, data, income, opportunity or reputation.
- No warranty is given as to the suitability of the Podcast Room or equipment for any particular purpose.
- Personal belongings, equipment and data brought onto the premises remain the responsibility of the user at all times.
